Hublot school of watchmaking

Hublot, the big Swiss watchmaking brand, has for many years entrusted us with the development of its watchmaker's workbenches.

“Be the first”, “be unique” and “be different” are the 3 slogans of Jean-Claude Biver. It is with this same motivation that we developed workbenches and fitted out their workshops with solutions meeting the needs of the brand, and which are customised according to the various watchmaking professions.

Following the creation of its second building “Hublot 2” in Nyon, and the brand’s dazzling expansion, it opted to create its own school of watchmaking to train the talents of tomorrow, immersing them in conditions perfectly reproducing real job market conditions.

We were assigned to fit out this school of watchmaking. Watchmaker’s workbenches, drawer units, storage cabinets for watchmaking components, etc. In collaboration with the school’s Head of Training, we created a complete workshop to train 8 students under the best possible conditions.

To do so, we provided Finework watchmaker’s workbenches, which can adapt to all morphologies, but above all which can be adjusted so that the students can learn all the professions related to watchmaking. We also installed standard workbenches, as well as drawer cabinets for storing tools and components: all while ensuring the greatest possible respect for the brand image.

The school enjoys great renown and is set to expand. To this end we have also offered our planning and interior architecture services, to optimise the space provided and accommodate more students in future.

Some questions to Eric Cart-Lamy, the school's Head of Training

What do you think of the outfitting work we carried out for this school?

Our school was established as recently as 2016. We had developed furniture matching our image, combining tradition and innovation.

In Allemand Frères SA we found the ideal equipment to create our school of watchmaking, workbenches, drawer units and technical and customisable storage cabinets.

What do the students think of their workstations?

Our students are very pleased with their workstations. Although it is their first experience in the world of watchmaking, when they talk with other students they regularly spend time with, they realise that we have provided the Rolls Royce of workbenches.

What do you think of our Finework watchmaker’s workbenches?

Ergonomy is truly the strong point of Finework workbenches, they are very rapidly adjustable and easily adaptable to all morphologies.

Another point that I am particularly fond of:  the 4-position memory function for electrically height adjustment of the workbenches. I regularly visit the workbenches of our apprentices, to give explanations or monitor their work. I have programmed “my height” on each workbench, so I can ensure optimal working conditions.

What are you most pleased with from the outfitting work?

Besides the quality of its products, Allemand Frères SA provided its planning and interior architecture service. Together, we found the best way to optimise the area available to install our furniture.

What could you say about the products and services of Allemand Frères SA?

I would emphasise one service in particular: the delivery and installation service, employing quick and efficient people, with a sense of precision and finish, the same as we strive for in watchmaking.
